    Paul,

allright, I see that we have to blame the editor instead for excluding the topic of education which is of particular interest to me.

HKDW, I mentioned all fields of the Cassel school for the sake of completeness, just to put an example. So why should I drop it? Nobody requires fencing and dancing to be included in a book about artillery. However, the other fields like technical drawing of artillery equipment, surveying and the basics on fortification are apparently related to artillery.

It would depend what kind of book you like to write, like the education of an artillery officer, than such stuff can be included otherwise you would need a multi volume work to cover all those subjects.
Basics of fortification are also related to infantry officers.

I hope to publish at least on French education in artillery schools in Soldats Napoleonien next year. We hope to do a second edition with schools in, but finding a publisher is the issue at hand.

I have another book going to print on Wednesday on french artillery.
