I am starting a project on Handschuhsheim 1796, I am looking for battalion level order of battle info on the Austrians. Is there anything published in German I should be looking for?

Ich beginne ein Projekt über die Schlacht von Handschuhsheim 1796 und suche Informationen zur Gefechtsordnung der österreichischen Bataillons. Gibt es dazu deutschsprachige Veröffentlichungen, nach denen ich suchen sollte?

Dragoon Regiment Allemand (Emigres - 4 sqns)
Circa 8,000 men

Thanks very much for your answer. I am a bit confused as to which unit the'Slavonians' in the account by Shels means, Digby has interpreted this as Grenzer without identifying which of the 3? regiments. Bur presumably they could also have been FreiKorps.

Have now checked Alphons Wrede Volume 5 - it was the Grenz not the Frei-Corps. Extract attached. As you will see the battalions were a mix of Grenz units,

It is unfortunate that the Austrians were not able to complete their official history "Kriege unter der Regierung des Kaisers Franz 1792-1797*. Only 2 volumes were published covering 1792..

Various Mitteilungen des k.u.k. Kriegsarchivs contain articles covering 1793 & 1794.
