I first searched for this but could not find a previous link on here.
A topic that will not go away, I imagine, a thoroughly detailed examination of originals and 'copyism'.
I am unsure who the originator is, but some of this and other articles make sense to me for now,

A few messages down there is a very elegant synopsis on the subject (author unknown), and another a response by David Hollins where he quotes his previous works for Osprey. He also made an 'Errata' corrections post about that work on tmp in 2007.
