Bayern- Armee Fuhrwesen

Guten tag,

A minor question, with at the moment only a single figure to paint for an artillery limber (1805/07)- can anyone give me a specific colour of the 'light blue' facings attributed by Page 63 of the book from Zeughaus Verlag (English text).

With experience of the English translation in French works for this 'shade', and the Wagner illustration varying from the glossy main plates, one needs to exercise some caution.

No, just the uniforms of artillery drivers of limbers (or were they a a single group of drivers for all services?).

Very nice prints- the Cantler worried me as being far to robust; the other is more to the shade given in the Stein collaboration book, yet was still brighter than I expected.

HKW- exactly as I did- upon downloading I resized the painting to a larger size and then zoomed in as you have shown.

Marcus- thank you I'd seen the Cantler and had not checked throughly enough!
I shall photograph the model (WIP) tomorrow.
I matched the paler grey tunic and then adjusted a modern 'sky blue' with a marginally darker poster paint (ie childrens/ school art paint) - only a few drops needed for the meagre facings in 25mm!

My thanks to all- I think I have a suitable match for 'Funckens' so I may as well have stuck with them! Very rarely are they wrong!
