Mein Herren,
admitting that this looks like a Charlet in style, almost III Empire rather than first- can anyone indentify the illustrator ?
Points of information for this artistry used by ' Jonas De Neef' in his FB work, yet never details the origin of artwork.
Ostensibly accompanying a memoire article about 1807, a variety of Carabiniers (Legére) warm themselves by the fire. On the far right one has a shako appearing to have white V chevrons, known only to me as the Fusilier-Grenadiers, who only appeared in the campaign arena by about April 1807.

In a correct move he also has only shoulder straps, not epaulettes as formed and not the typical arrangement. These regiments were another group of men rushed to the front, given the crippling losses of Eylau.
